"Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we are free at last!"
This is important to me because if I were one of them I would feel complete and accepted for who I am and what I would do. Being free will make my dreams come true and not throw them away and let the rich white folk take the chance of my dream. Dr. Martin Luther King he would fight for chances of a African American would be free he just wouldn't stop. This makes me proud that there's someone making a difference in the world and in history we are not alone and probably never will be. This are a couple of reasons why this important to me.
People were cheering for when he said "Free at Last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are Free at last!" This speech made at of people be confident of Dr. King he was being heard. He will never be forgotten.
My Poem
What happens to a dream floating?

Does it get wet?
Like a fish
or a starfish like a person taking a swim.
Does it drown like a boat being sunk?
Or stays and stays
Like the water
Maybe it will get toron to pieces.
Like a fish being killed by a shark.
Or does it keep floating on?

IM taking him right now because yes I am Free atlast. I do get to have an opinion and not get killed for it. Your right and it did give people confidence to go out there and just say that they want to be free atlast.

Yes i agree with you that African Americans were confident that marint luther king would help them get their freedom. but why did they cheered the phrase.
Hey thats a good Quoute bout they being free at last. Cause back then they were treated like trash white people did not want them close to them living or having there kids go to the same school with the colored kids.Thats a good poem u made i mean thats how a dream feels sometimes like it floats in the water of sinks when its destroyed.
